Style of School

Our style of school is a traditional Shaolin based martial art, infused with the ideals and concepts of the Japanese Kempo.  We are an eclectic martial art, in that through using the best part of Chinese and Japanese styles, we continue to evolve.  By introducing a full Grappling Program into the system we have again become a stronger, more balanced martial art.  Though we do not teach a specific animal form or style we do encompass the mythological, practical ideas and concepts of the 5 animals; Tiger, Crane, Leopard, Snake and Dragon.

The Tiger is strong and relentless in it’s forward attack.  The Crane is patient and defense oriented. The Leopard is fast and powerful.  The Snake is quick and precise.  The Dragon is all,  with the ability to move from one to the other or use them as a whole depending on the situation.  I particularly defend myself and have spent a great deal of my martial arts training as a crane.

By encompassing this traditional style of Kung Fu and melding it with real life self-defense techniques, I feel that we have created a well-balanced training program.
